CNT research reveals the transporter’s economic expectations for 2019. Transporter is optimistic and ready to invest.

The CNT (National Confederation of Transport) released the 10th edition of the survey Transporter’s economic expectations, tracing a promising panorama for 2019. The study took place between October 31st and November 28th, and took stock of the year 2018 projecting expectations on the performance of the economy, the generation of jobs and the
fleet renewal, among other topics related to the carrier activity.

The assessments presented show a disappointment of the carriers when assessing the results achieved in 2018 at the same time that reveal the strong climate of the sector optimism to 2019. Confident in the promises of change and the ability of the new Government to implement the necessary structuring reforms, entrepreneurs bet on a

more dynamic business environment and geared towards the more entrepreneurial driving of the public machine. The opinions of the carriers are evaluated from a joint point of view of the sector, as well as detailed by type of modal, showing howeach segment, within its specificities, makes a retrospective of the year that closes and understands the

scenario that glimpses the future.

“It is undeniable that we have enormous potential for development, but we need actions that transmit security. We are sure that we can
attract investments, but you have to do your homework, with an appropriate regulatory framework and a more friendly business environment. This edition
of the research shows that carriers, in all modal, are optimistic about what is to come from January 1, 2019 and will
inaugurate a new cycle of social and economic growth. Industry entrepreneurs want to expand their fleets and increase the pace of their activities. The proposal for a more open market, coupled with the intensification of the concession programme and the continuity of structuring reforms, could grant the country the necessary conditions for improving

the transport infrastructure, “summarises thepresident of the CNT and the National councils of Sest andSenat, Clésio Andrade.

The research provides an appropriate tool for planning and focused on the decision-making process, showing that the institution persevere to create mechanisms for the transportation and logistics sector in Brazil to grow in a sustained and continuous manner,

favoring the country’s progress.

Optimists, transporters project good results for the first year of the new government.

The year 2019 will be good for the transport sector. This is what awaits 74.2% of the carriers participating in the 10th edition of the Economic Expectations poll of the Transporter2018, carried out by the National Confederation of Transport (CNT). The result indicates a high confidence of entrepreneurs with regard to the ability of the new federal
